As a property maintenance company supporting many well known high street names, On Site Services required reliable IT systems and an IT maintenance company who matched their own service level and responsiveness. When they first approached Froya back in 2004, they were struggling with a badly specified and configured server and network that had been supported by a ’1 man band’. Realising that the lack of functionality and repeated interruption to business was no longer manageable, they instructed Froya to supply and maintain a new Small Business Server and associated network hardware.
Over the following years On Site Services continued to expand and their requirements changed dramatically so Froya were commissioned to upgrade the system to a multiple server setup to support the increasing workload and provide resilience for a new Line Of Business application. The transition to the new system was conducted seamlessly over the weekend to avoid costly interruption to business.
In addition to remote access facilities for Line of Business applications, it was also crucial for key members of staff to be able to access their email at all times, so on-premises Microsoft Exchange was used for many years before migrating to Office 365 hosted email.
